Jurgen Klopp hit out on speculations that Mohamed Salah could leave his side in the summer.

According to Klopp, the Egyptian is focused on life on the pitch and nothing else despite his admiration for Real Madrid and Barcelona in a recent interview with AS which sparked debate across the world on the player’s future.

His former National teammate in Egypt, Mohamed Aboutrika further told that Salah is not happy at Liverpool following the club’s refusal to hand him the captain’s armband in Liverpool’s Champions League fixture with FC Midtjylland in Denmark, a game captained by Trent Alexander Arnold.

Salah has scored 13 goals in 13 Premier League games for the Reds with his current contract set to run out in 2023.

According to Klopp, his forward is focused on helping the team win games.

“He never speaks [about contracts]," Klopp said.

Liverpool welcome West Bromwich Albion on Saturday at Anfield after the 7-0 demolishing of Crystal Palace at the Selhurst Park.

It’s the third consecutive time the Reds top the Premier League table on Christmas and the manager need not be reminded on how his side must lift their performance to maintain their lead.

"It's the best position you can be in the moment," he told.

"Two years ago when we didn't win the league after being top it wasn't a lack of focus, it was just the quality of the opponent. This quality is still out there."
