Militants ramp up assault in Somali hotel siege
According to reports, at least one minister was hurt, but another told reporters that he had survived the incident.

On Monday morning, gunfire and explosions could still be heard coming from a hotel in Mogadishu, the capital of Somalia, where militants had been laying siege all night.
The Villa Rose hotel, which is well-liked by government officials, is conveniently located near the presidential palace in the heart of Mogadishu.
Al-Shabab terrorists claimed to have overrun the hotel.
The BBC was informed by witnesses that they heard numerous explosions on Monday.
