Messi will join Paris Saint Germain, Rivaldo has hinted.

The former Barcelona forward has predicted that Messi’s last Champions League could be at his new venue, Parc des Princes, where the second leg of the round of 16 tie will be honoured.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side cruised past the Blaugranas at Camp Nou – Kylian Mbappe scored a hat trick and Moise Keane’s addition gave the French champions a comfortable 4-1 victory, with Messi grabbing a consolation from the spot.

Rivaldo in an interview with Betfair says Messi's last European night at the Camp Nou was what he was involved in on Tuesday.

"This heavy defeat against PSG will almost certainly be Messi's last Champions League game with Barcelona at the Camp Nou," Rivaldo told Betfair reported by Marca.

"[Barcelona cannot give Messi] the real possibility of fighting for big trophies.

"His future will be PSG, even more so given his display at the Camp Nou. They are a team that can give him the option of continuing to win trophies."

The Barca legend says the tie has been decided and there is no single Barcelona player who believes the Catalan side can initiate a comeback. According to him, Ronald Koeman’s side are out of the European cup.

"There is not a single player in the squad who believes in the comeback. It's impossible to turn it around," he stated.

The 48-year old has rallied his support behind Joan Laporta in the Barcelona presidency race.

"Yes, I publicly declare that I support him because I believe that the club needs a strong president who is able to bring the club back to where it belongs, to fight and reclaim the space they have always had to occupy," Rivaldo said.
