MCE cuts sod for six projects in Wenchi

In his bid to make Wenchi Municipality a first-class and a model one in the Bono region and Ghana at large, Hon. Alexander Obour Damoah on Wednesday, June 28, 2022 cut sod for six projects at different locations in the municipality.

During my familiarization tour in 2021, I observed the challenges the inhabitants are going through, so I promised them that I will ensure that we bridge the infrastructure deficit in this municipality the MCE noted.

Hon Alexander Obour Damoah disclosed this during a one-day intensive sod-cutting ceremony to commence the construction of six projects at separate locations in the Wenchi township.

The projects include a 1No. 5 seater WC toilet,4 unit urinal, and the drilling and mechanization of 1No. Borehole with 5000 liters water storage and 1No. 4 - meter high concrete stand at Wenchi old market, 

Drilling and construction of 1No. 500 liters water storage tank and 1No. 4 - meter high concrete stand at Wenchi maize market, the constitution of 1No. 6 - seater aqua privy toilet with 2 - unit urinal and provision of 5000 liters water storage at ASWAQ Islamic basic school in the Kokroko electoral area, drilling and construction of 1 No. 5000 liters water storage at Wenchi slaughterhouse, furnishing provision of 5No. Massaging beds and 6 - No. 1.5 HP Split Air conditioner at Wenchi sports field dressing room and construction of 4 - unit WC toilet with 2 unit urinals under existing spectator stands, installation of 1.5 HP Split Air conditioner at the Press box, drilling and mechanization of 1No. 4 - meter high concrete stand.

The project is expected to be completed in six months by the constitution firms.

According to Honorable. Alexander Obour Damoah, the projects were being funded from the assembly's Internal Generated Fund (IGF).

He, therefore, urged the beneficiaries and contractors to cooperate and deliver to exceed expectations.
