A young man identified as David Ziem has stabbed his senior brother's wife to death at Nabori, a farming community in Damongo of the Savannah Region.

David Ziem for reasons best known to him stormed the brother's farm and stabbed the deceased to death, Assemblyman of Nabori electoral area, Adam Osman told journalists.

He said the police were called to effect an arrest on the suspect.

The Assemblyman indicated that the suspect further attempted stabbing himself at the chest, but community members managed to rescue him.

He was rushed to the Damongo Catholic Hospital by the Savannah Regional Police command for treatment, and onward prosecution.

The remains of the lady, according to him has been deposited at the morgue for autopsy.

The suspect who is private security personnel in Damongo is believed to be in his early 40s, SoireNews has gathered.
