Make farming attractive - Hon Alhaji Seidu Haruna tells government

The Member of Parliament for Wenchi Constituency, Honorable Alhaji Seidu Haruna is calling on government to make farming attractive by providing equipment at low cost to serve as incentives so as to attract the youth to venture into agriculture.
The MP was speaking at the just ended 38th National Farmers Day celebration at Nwoase in the Wenchi Municipality.
He mentioned that his outfit is trying to help make farming attractive by meeting most of the farmers associations to discuss the way forward.
He charged farmers to center their efforts on adding value to the farm produce.
The MP emphasized that without the work of farmers it is certain that we cannot realize the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal No. 2 which requires that we seek sustainable solutions to end hunger in all its forms by 2030, achieve food security and improve nutrition.
With the majority of the people in the constituency involved in agriculture a day set aside to celebrate their achievements is well deserved he said.
