He made the statement after some residents at Kasoa in the Awutu-Senya East Municipal were dealt with by officers of the Ghana Army for defying the partial lockdown directive in the wake of the spread of the coronavirus disease to the country.

The residents were unable to tell which category they operate under the services exempted from the restrictions announced by the President.

Kwaw Kese took to his Twitter page to express his unhappiness on the actions of the police and military personnel after beating the Ghanaians.

"Lockdown doesn’t mean beat people you see outside, I’m on lockdown in New York. I can still go out for a walk, go to the shop/supermarket and can go anywhere I wanna. The security forces should be educated on this lockdown. You don’t beat people cos they’re outside," he said.
