Libianca: You don't have to sing in English to be successful

The gifted singer from Cameroon, Libianca Fonji, is presently touring the nation in support of her most recent EP, "Walk Away."

Libianca: You don't have to sing in English to be successful

In an interview with DJ Slim on Daybreak Hitz, she refuted the myth that singing in English alone is the only way to achieve international success in the music business.

According to her, music is a universal language in and of itself, and what matters most is the connection and feelings that people get from a song.

It is never appropriate to let language stand in the way of creating and promoting music.

Whatever language the song is sung in, Libianca believes that what matters most is how the audience can relate to it.

"Music is a universal language, regardless of the language you speak," she declared. You've communicated if someone can feel it or sing it. I don't know what a South African song means, but I feel something when I listen to it and even sing it. It's not necessary to speak it because music speaks for itself. Simply give it your all, and others will sense it.

Labianca encouraged her other musicians to pick up a musical instrument during that same interview, noting that it would greatly enhance their creative process.

"It's easier for you the more experience you have with playing sounds and combining different sounds," she stated. I could hear the chords when I was writing songs before I even picked up the instrument.
