Krowor gets first plastic recycling plant

The Municipal Chief Executive(CEO) of Krowor Municipal Assembly(KroMA) within the Greater Accra Region, Honourable Joshua Nii Bortey,  with the assistance of the Deputy Minister of Fisheries and Aquaculture Development, Moses Anim, and the Chief Executive Officer(CEO) of the Coastal Development Authority(CODA), Honourable Jerry Ahmed have officially unveiled the first-ever plastic recycling plant at the Nungua Landing Beach(Nungua Nnshoonaa) within the Krowor Municipality.


Also, the occasion which came off on the 11th of May 2022 was represented by the CEOs of CFAO and SESA, BizGPS, representatives from Oboade Notes, King Professor Odaifio Welentsi III, Paramount Chief of the Nungua Traditional Council, and Vice President of the Greater Accra Regional House of Chiefs.
The rest were Wor-Konor Nuumo Borketey Larweh Tsuru XXXIII, Gborbu Wolomo, and the Shitse of the Ga-Dangbe state to grace the short but memorable occasion.


Speaking to the MCE who was elated said that for the first time KroMA was going to experience some level of plastic waste reduction. 

He said the menace of plastic has for decades been a matter of grave concern to the municipality however, with the new plastic wastes recycling plant, KroMA would be on the right path of development.
He added that with the donation of 2 Suzuki trucks, the collection of plastic would be made easy.
While expressing his heartfelt appreciation to all who graced to make the occasion a success.
The two tracks from Cfao, he promised to ensure they serve the purposes for which they were donated.
