Highlife master Kojo Antwi's camp has released a statement to deny allegations that the artist is soliciting donations for his father's funeral.

The renowned singer caught the eye of online users as he started a gofundme fundraising with the goal of raising a massive sum of £1,000,000,000.

After that, internet users leapt on him to mock him for asking followers for this sum of money to help bury his deceased father, who passed away to eternal life in early January 2023.

This prompted businessman Dr. Kofi Amoa-Abban to criticize him on social media and demand that he sell three of his properties in order to raise money for his father's funeral.

According to a representative from the musician's camp who agreed to an interview, the money will not be used to pay for the musician's father's funeral. Instead, The Maestro's Love and Care Foundation will be established, which will give needy children financial aid and support for people who are blind.

According to the representative, Kojo Antwi received calls from individuals expressing their want to make donations for his father's funeral, which led to the decision to launch the fundraising.

He said: “Kojo Antwi, therefore, decided to open a GoFundMe account to make the process organised and smooth so he could also use the opportunity to lend a hand to the underprivileged in memory of his late father”.
