Jurgen Klopp has quickly provided an update on Virgil van Dijk’s injury suffered on Tuesday afternoon.

The Premier League Champions played a 2-2 draw with Salzburg where the No. 4 suffered a nasty head injury in the 55-minute and was subbed for Phillips.

Daka struck twice within the first 15 minutes of the game before Rhian Brewster’s brace in the final ten minutes saved the Reds from their first preseason defeat.

Liverpool will play Arsenal on Saturday, August 29, 2020, in the FA Community Shield and the Liverpool manager cleared concerns as to whether the Dutch winger could feature.

“Virg only looks like he has a piercing now and has a plaster on it. It should not be, and is, no problem,” the manager told Liverpoolfc.com.

“In the moment it is of course not cool but there will not be a problem.”

The Reds will kick off their Premier League campaign against Leeds United at Anfield on September 12, 2020, two weeks after the Community Shield game.
