Just in: Mfantseman MP shot dead

Soireenews has gathered that, Member of Parliament for Mfantseman Constituency in the Central Region Ekow Quansah Hayford has been shot dead by unknown assailants.

According to sources, the MP was shot on the Abeadze Dominase–Abeadze Duadzi–Mankessim Road when returning from a campaign trip.

An eye witness said they were stopped on the road by alleged armed robbers who robbed them of their belongings.

Per reports from Citi News’  multiple sources within the NPP have confirmed the unfortunate development, but are tight-lipped on details.

Meanwhile, the remains of Ekow Quansah Hayford has been deposited at the Saltpond municipal hospital.
