Inhabitants of Tema New Town, Tema East appeal to the government for a bigger market.

Inhabitants of Tema New Town(Tema East)to be precise have called on the government of Ghana to help them to get a wider market space, the market in question(Abobosu market) is the only surviving marketplace in the town.

Some traders complained that during the resignationationation of the National Democratic Congress(NDC) from 2012 - 2016, most shops were pulled down because they weren't built in any proper manner and most of them were close to each other even though they were wooden structures, the shops were later built with a very good plan, but not every trader got a slot in the shops.

Some traders couldn't afford the rent and the shops weren't also small in size as at first, therefore the new shops were fewer in number.

 Most market women who lost their shops have therefore taken to trading at the lorry park in other to make ends meet.

So the traders are pleading to the current government to do them a favor by building them more shops and reducing the price of the shops rent on their behalf because trading is their means of catering for their families.
