I’m ashamed to beg for food - Kenya’s deputy president

In light of the nation's food shortages, Kenya's deputy president said he is ashamed to have had to rely on begging.

"I beg for meals with foreigners all the time. those who colonized us included. It is embarrassing. We cannot allow our people to perish, thus I have no choice, he told the local media.

According to the vice president, several individuals were left without food due to a series of unsuccessful rainstorms, and some of them died.

He claimed to have prayed for God to "heal our land" and deliver the populace from the problem while standing at the base of Mount Kenya.
