I Will Be The VGMA Dancehall Artiste of the Year Again - Ras Kuuku

Ras Kuuku has stated that he will win the Reggae Dancehall Artiste Of the year at the 2021 edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.

If he clinches the title, he will be reigning champion for the second year in a row as he won the 2020 VGMA Reggae/Dancehall Artiste of the Year.

He bagged two two nominations at this year's award, the  Reggae /dancehall Artiste Of the year and the Reggae/dancehall Song Of the year awards.

“I pray I win because this is about voting and this is about how the work too “

We are voting Hundred thousand Ghana Cedis, tell the KPMG people that they should set their machine, the votes that will be coming from Ras Kuuku might crash their machine, More Votes are coming “ He said on Showbiz 927 with Chrystal Kwame-Aryee on 3fm.

He will now go head to head in the race for the Reggae/ Dancehall Artiste Of the year with musicians like Epixode, Samini, Kaphun and Larruso.

The critics noted last year that he should not forget he only won because the actual competitors (Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale) had been disqualified after he decided to parade his award.

He was spotted moving from place to place with the award by his side, taking pictures of it and making videos with anyone that cares to feature in his glorious mood.

According to Epixode, who was also nominated in the same category alongside Ras Kuuku, his colleague thoroughly deserved to win, and would probably have won if the two dancehall heavyweights were around.

“Ras Kuuku deserved it. I would not have voted for anyone apart from Kuuku. I am so happy for him.” he said while speaking to Chelsea, the host of the YFM Takoradi’s Ryse N Shyne show.
