I was exposed to drinking and clubbing by Richie Mensah - Kuami Eugene

A well-known Ghanaian highlife performer by the stage name Kuami Eugene, Eugene Marfo, has opened up about his first experience with alcohol.

The owner of his Lynx record company, Richie Mensah, encouraged the "Angela" hitmaker to begin drinking.

The former VGMA Artiste of the Year disclosed during a recent "Striped" interview with actress and TV personality Sika Osei that his boss informed him alcohol was sweet.

The "Cryptocurrency" singer, however, admitted that the drink wasn't as sweet as Richie had made it seem after taking a taste.

"I went to the bar for the first time with Richie." I had never been to the bar before, and Richie was the reason I had my first drink. After mixing it, he said, "Oh, try it; it's good." The Lynx signee said, "I tried and I was like, arh, this man paa, this thing is not pleasant oo.

Eugene responded that he now goes to bars on his own when asked if his boss had always brought him there.

He claimed that because he does not frequent clubs, he frequents bars like Blue Moon.

Now that he no longer takes me there, I go on my own, but I only go once a year because I'm not much of a party person.
