Ghanaian actress and social media personality, Rosemond Alade Brown, widely known s Akuapem Polo has narrated her ordeal on her first night in police cells.

Akuapem Polo was charged on three counts with publishing inappropriate videos, using domestic violence, violating another person’s privacy or integrity, and using domestic violence, specifically using behavior that in any way diminishes or is likely to diminish another person’s dignity and worth as a human being.

On her son’s birthday in 2020, she posted a photo of herself in a nude outfit beside him on social media. She had already entered a not guilty plea to the accusations made against her.

She then admitted to the accusations made against her, and on April 16th, an Accra High court sentenced her to 90 days in prison or three months in jail.

Speaking in an interview with the ace broadcaster, Andy Dosty on the Daybreak Hitz morning segment, Akuapem Polonarrated her ordeal after she was sent to the police cells for the first time.

According to her, she was unable to sleep properly given that it was her very first time spending the night behind bars. She added that she was made to sleep on the floor the first time, probably because there were not enough beds in the cells.

“On my first night at the police cell, I slept on the floor. I couldn’t even sleep“, she said on the show.
