The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Akatsi North District Assembly of the Volta Region of Ghana, Dr. Prince Sodoke Amuzu, has stated categorically that he has been in a good and cordial working relationship with all the accredited chiefs, elders, youth, traditional and religious office holders since he was appointed by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

According to him, he has never had a confrontation with any chief in the area.

"l have respect for my chiefs and elders and that there is nothing that l would do to disregard them," the DCE stressed.

Mr. Amuzu was responding to allegations leveled against him by some five aggrieved Paramount Chiefs and stool fathers of the Ave Council of Chiefs in the Akatsi-North District that the DCE is disrespectful and who has consistently undermined them therefore they can not work with him should Akufo-Addo reappoint him.

The DCE noted that he is shocked by the new developments, indicating that he has always worked with the traditional authorities without issues.

As a result, he has called on Ghanaians, particularly people in his jurisdiction should ignore the false allegations leveled against him because the chiefs who are attacking him are doing it out of political hatred.

Meanwhile, scores of the constituents who spoke on the issue described the DCE as a peacemaker, knowledgeable, respectful, and team builder.

They however made a passionate appeal to President Akufo-Addo to maintain Dr. Amuzu because he is a hard-working District Chief Executive of the area.
