Tottenham Hotspurs boarded their flight to Portugal for their first Europa Conference League clash on Today but there was no sign of Harry Kane.

Nuno Espirito Santo is taking his troops to Northern Portugal for their European third-tier play-off clash with Pacos de Ferreira.

Tottenham’s official Twitter account shared a video of their stars beaming as they boarded the jet, including new boys Bryan Gil, Cristian Romero and Pierluigi Gollini.

But there was one notable absentee from the short clip, and that is the England captain Harry Kane.

The 28-year-old Spurs striker is a mega-money target for Manchester City.

Kane has been looking to force a move away from Tottenham since May after revealing he is desperate to get his hands on some silverware.

The Lilywhites ace missed his side's opening day win over Man City having only returned from his extended post-Euro 2020 holiday last week.

Kane returned to training on Friday but was deemed not ready for the Premier League opener.

Reports had claimed Kane would be reintegrated to the squad for the Europa Conference League.

And while Spurs coach Nuno Espirito Santo named him in his 25-man squad,  Kane was not seen boarding the plane today.

The games are already coming thick and fast for Spurs, with a Premier League clash against Nuno's former team, Wolves, on Sunday, sandwiched between two games against Pacos de Ferreira.

And the new Tottenham chief has called on Kane to 'get ready' to play.

Speaking after the 1-0 win over City, Nuno said:

"Harry is one of the best players in the world, so we are very lucky to have him.

"He has to get ready and help the team. We still have to go to Portugal and then we think about Wolves.

"Harry worked on Sunday morning, is preparing himself and when he is ready he will join the group and help the team."

Kane expects a breakthrough in his bid to move to the Etihad before the weekend.

But reports claim Tottenham supremo Daniel Levy is now dodging City's calls as the cling on to their star man.
