Being an Ashanti by birth, Gyakie always felt that commerce and business were her calling, especially because she had aspirations of becoming wealthy at a young age.

This ambition led her to decide to pursue a degree in international business at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).

However, it seems fate had other ideas. During her time at KNUST, Gyakie met Sosa, her current producer, which altered her life goals and marked the start of her incredible musical adventure.

Recently, Gyakie revealed details about her early goals when appearing on The Day Show with Berla Mundi. She said, "I just wanted to be an entrepreneur before I went to KNUST." I studied international business at KNUST because I wanted to be making money. However, my music career really took off when I met my producer, Sosa, on university through a buddy.

"Sosa sent me a beat after our first encounter, which eventually turned into my debut single on a number of streaming services. And it was at this time that I realized I could write songs," she remarked.

From her debut single to subsequent hits like "Something" and her latest release, "Rent Free," Gyakie's music has been well-received, making waves in Ghana and beyond.
