On-loan Manchester United forward, Mason Greenwood, has told his agents that sealing a summer move to Barcelona would be his “dream”.

Greenwood is currently on loan with Getafe, after the Red Devils decided he would play no part in the club’s immediate future.

This came after the criminal allegations against the 22-year-old for attempted rape, assault and coercive control were dropped.

Greenwood is a long-term target for Barca, who are ready to pay up to £40 million for the player.

And it now appears as if Greenwood is edging toward that move after telling his advisors to make the transfer happen.

Greenwood has not set LaLiga alight by any mans but he has on occasion produced the flashes of quality that promised a long and successful career when he broke into the United first team in 2019.

The forward currently has five goals in 19 games and with no future at parent club United on the cards, Greenwood now has his heart set on a move to the Nou Camp.

Reports suggest that United want £40m for the striker despite the fact that he will have just one year left on his Red Devils deal at the end of this season.
