He said the focus of the government is for Ghanaians to ensure the plants are well nurtured to enhance their growth and the purposes for which they were planted.

The Tano South Municipal Assembly in the Ahafo region organized its session on the Green Ghana project at Bechem School For the Deaf. 
Speaking at the programme, the Tano South Municipal Chief Executive, Mr. Collins Offinam Takyi indicated that trees are very important for Humans hence the decision of the president to implement the Green Ghana project which seeks to ensure the plantation of various species of trees to augment the forest reserves and beautify some parts of the country as well.
He said the focus of the government is for Ghanaians to ensure the plants are well nurtured to enhance their growth and the purposes for which they were planted.  
The Tano South Municipal forestry Manager, Mr.  Oteng Dominic, added that Tano South Municipal is entitled to the plantation of about 450,000 seedlings and so the ceremonial plantation was held in Bechem School for the deaf with most of the leadership of the municipal assembly present. 
He acknowledged the presence of the inhabitants of their immense contribution towards the project since its inception explaining the venue for the ceremonial plantation was chosen as a result of how the previous trees planted there was nurtured by the school authorities. 
The Ahafo regional education director, Mrs. Lucy Ama Ankrah expressed appreciation to stakeholders,  nananom, and the entire Tano south residents for heavily contributing to the green Ghana project and pledged her full support to the development of the programme.
He indicated that for the health and growth of the students in the municipality, fruit species of the trees will also be planted in various school which will be beneficial to the students after their metamorphosis to enhance the growth and transition of the students.
