Yaw Sarpong has called for the current crop of gospel artistes to wake up and deliver better tracks.

The old head laid into the artistes by saying that they're tracks are noisy and without inspiration.

His comments now join the wave of criticism p that has been directed at gospel artistes in recent times, as more and more fans have been pointing out that the gospel tracks lack "spirituality".

“Songs released by current gospel artistes are all noisy,” Yaw Sarpong said in an interview with DJ on Happy FM.

“Most of these artists don’t have patience when recording their songs. They quickly want to get everything done so they can release and launch immediately.

“I feel their challenge is that most of them actually have good storylines that will impact lives but how to put the lines together and make the song sound great is their problem,” He said.

He called for patience amongst the artistes, advising that it takes a while to come up with great tracks that have depth.

“This will prevent them from releasing noisy songs,” he noted on the need for patience.

Yaw Sarpong, who has been in the game for 43 years, opined that the current crop of musicians want to achieve fame fast and care less about producing tracks that resonate with the audience.

This he said, is the major reason for the chasm between artists and their audience nowadays.
