Google is planning to build a massive new headquarters in Nairobi.

Google has announced that it will establish its first product development center in Africa in Nairobi, Kenya's capital.

In 2018, the company launched a $1 billion (£770 million) investment plan for Africa to capitalize on the continent's growing number of internet users.

"Africa will have 800 million internet users by 2030... "And Google is committed to advancing Africa's digital development by enabling human capital," said Nitin Gajria, Google's Africa Managing Director.

Visa, a payments technology company, and Microsoft, a computer software company, both launched innovation hubs in Nairobi earlier this year.

Jobs for software engineers, researchers, and designers will be available at the centers.
