The Director of Social Welfare and Community Development of the Assin Fosu Municipal, Mr Ebenezer Nana Amofa Appiah, advised the Principals and expressed the need to register their centres to ensure they have the requisite permits to operate.

The Director of Social Welfare and Community Development of the Assin Fosu Municipal, Mr Ebenezer Nana Amofa Appiah has called upon all stakeholders involving parents, Principals of daycare centres, government to put a premium on early childhood education. 

Speaking in an interview with Central Regional Soireenews Correspondent, Abusuapanyin Kojo Ahinful, Mr Amofa  Appiah stressed that early childhood education is a preparatory stage to assist the child transition to formal schooling therefore "we must ensure they acquire the integral stimuli for proper upbringing."

"Therefore we must put into consideration his or her social, emotional, cognitive, and physical needs to establish a solid and broad foundation for learning and well-being."

His remarks comes when the Assin Fosu Municipal Social Welfare Department organized a day workshop for Principals of Day Care Centers.

He also advised the Principals and expressed the need to register their centres to ensure they have the requisite permits to operate.

Lastly, the participants of the workshop expressed their happiness and said they will put into practice what's they have learned to improve their performance.
