GHS Releases Guidelines for reopening Ghana’s Air Borders

The Ghana Health Service (GHS) has issued guidelines for the safe reopening of international travel as Ghana looks forward to reopening its air borders.

Following the COVID-19 outbreak in Ghana in March, the country’s borders – air, sea, land were closed down to prevent further importation of cases and manage the cases already recorded.

But President Akufo-Addo in his 15th address to the nation, announced government’s intention to ease some restrictions on the border closures by enabling air travels.

Akufo-Addo has said in his address that Ghana’s air borders could be reopened by September 1, 2020.

In this regard, the GHS has also issued some guidelines for the safe resumption of international air travel ahead of the reopening of airports.
