Ghanaians Urged To Invest In Tree Planting.

According to him, the introduction of the Green Ghana project has been a great help to the country since gradually our degraded forests are being recovered, and said our cash crops can even last long if we protect them with trees.

The Sunyani District Director of Forestry Manager in the Bono Region, Mr. Francis Brobbey as part of preparations ahead for the Green Ghana project has urged Ghanaians to invest heavily in tree planting.

According to him, the commission is ever prepared to release over 200,000 seedlings of trees for the National Green Ghana project in the Bono Region.

In a media briefing, Mr. Brobbey stressed that the commission is ever ready to collaborate with other agencies including the Ministry of Agriculture, Government Institutions, Farmers Associations, Ghana Fire Service, and Traditional Leaders amongst other agencies to support this year's Green Ghana project in the region. 

According to him, the introduction of the the the Green Ghana project has been a great help to the country since gradually our degraded forests are being recovered, and said our cash crops can even last long if we protect them with trees. 

He, therefore, thanked the general public, especially those who participated in the last year's Green Ghana project and again called on all to come out to support this year's Green Ghana project scheduled to take place on 10th June 2022.
