Ghana as a Country Needs Technocrats to Propel the Development of the Economy - Nsawkawdehyeɛ

The 21st Century and the effect of the Covid-19 pandemic have seen rapid changes in technology and the lifestyle of people globally.

The impacts of global changes have affected all spheres of life, including interactions, socialization, understanding, and even administration or governance.

Mr. Afful Manu Benjamin (Nsawkawdehyeɛ), the Proprietor of Star of Africa Montessori Academy and a leading member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has opined on the merit of including technocrats in governance.

He said, bringing on technocrats to governance will propel the most significant policy decisions to position the development of the country's economy.

The NPP guru reiterated that the involvement of technocrats will technically add skill and competency to laid the basis for expansion, without losing sight of the social distribution of developmental projects and administrative justice.

In an interview with Appiah Kubi, on Tain FM Anopa Nkomo show, Mr. Afful indicated that greater participation of technocrats in the steering wheel of governance is needed to ensure the tech-driven approach becomes the hallmark of Ghana's policy formulation and implementations.

He commented on the Nana Addo-led NPP government on indicatives of the fact that the government is making efforts in the right direction, despite the global economic challenges.

"A dedicated civil service for constrictive ideas would encourage better innovation and implementations of solutions to the country's economic menaces", he stated.

He further detailed that political appointment in governance has lost conviction and had also inhibited economic growth.
