The former Ashanti Regional Chairman for the Convention People's Party (CPP), Mr. A. S Osei Yaw has launched a blistering attack at President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for forcibly imposing E-Levy on Ghanaians.
He noted that the Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo Addo's government has no respect for Ghanaians for blatantly imposing E-levy at this time of economic hardships.
He emphasized that the government must have listened to the voice of the masses than forcefully imposing the tax knowing well the system is not working.
"How can someone who is not working pay tax? How can a farmer who is not earning anything pay tax? Where are they going to get the money from, and how is the government going to spend this money. Is it not going to be a usual luxurious lifestyle and flashy cars? They should give us a break", he stated.
He called on Ghanaians to vote wisely and flush out the NPP government come 2024 general elections.
Mr. Osei Yaw urged "our brothers and sisters in the Muslim Communities to avoid violence whilst celebrating their festival today."
