Fix Egyaa Now Demo To Hit MP, Assembly Man And Chiefs
The residents in an angry tone expressed worries over lack of social amenities in the area, thus calling on Member of Parliament (MP) for the Mfantseman constituency, Honourable Ophelia Hayford, NPP government and Mfantseman Municipal Assembly to come to their aid, so as to alleviate the suffering of the people.

The aggrieved youths in Egyaa in the Mfantiman Municipality of the Central Region have set aside October 29, 2022 to stage demonstration to register their displeasure against President Nana Addo Dankwa and his New Patriotic Party (NPP) government for neglecting of community of social and infrastructure amenities.
Dubbed;" Fix Egyaa Now Demo, the protest was also against the MP, Assembly man and the Chiefs of Egyaaa.

"The good people living in Egyaa of the population of about 3000 are really going through excruciating hardship.They lacked a lot of vital social and infrastructure amenities in the community.
The population of about 3000 do not have good road networks, market centers,bad communication network and lack of access to good medical care.
“Despite persistent appeals to opinion leaders and the Assembly on the urgent need to provide basic amenities in our community, nothing has been done to alleviate our plight in the area. We lack portable water and people defecate about any how, causing another problem for the community,” the residents lamented.
Speaking in an interview with Soireenews.com,the residents urged the government to deem it necessary to focus on the rapid infrastructural development in the community.
They pointed out that the present leadership of the area had not carried out any developmental projects in the area.
"We the residents of the community have been neglected of the provision of potable water and a toilet facility. A situation the Municipal assembly is supposed to have done everything possible to address without delay”.
He accused leadership of the municipal Assembly for failing to provide the community with these essential amenities, since they took over the assembly.
They stressed due to lacked the social and infrastructure development in the area, the the youth of Egyaa have decided to embark on Massive Demonstration against the government.
