Ghana’s Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) will conduct some tests on the famous herbal medicine purported to be used in treating Covid-19 patients in Madagascar, before it is adopted in the country.

The Director-General of the Ghana Health Service (GHS), Dr Patrick Kumah Aboagye, who disclosed this, said that government has officially received an offer for some of Madagascar's Covid-19 Herbal concoction.

Currently, Ghana’s Covid-19 case count stands at 3,091 with 303 recoveries.

With the continuous increase in cases, some citizens have mounted pressure on the Akufo-Addo government to remedy the worsening situation, even if it will require using the Covid-19 herbal medicine from Madagascar.

Dr Patrick Aboagye however noted that, due diligence needed to be done before the supposed Covid-19 cure can be used in the country.
