Lloris frustrated at the end of the game.

Tottenham Hotspurs boss, Jose Mourinho was left fuming on the touchline when referee Peter Bankes' awarded a penalty to Newcastle United to level the scores in a 1-1 draw with Spurs on Sunday afternoon.

Although the manager didn't even wait for it to be taken, which showed his frustration against the new rule yet Wilson was first shot on target sent Lloris the wrong way to put his side level.

Spurs opened the scores in the 25-minute through Lucas.

Jonjo Shelvey lost the ball to Son who was behind the Toon midfield, and he, in turn, spotted Kane dropping off on the left. The England captain squeezed the ball through Hayden's legs from the left of the box, right across the six-yard area and to Lucas, who beat Ritchie at the far post to tap home.

Spurs continued to dominate the first half, with Son Heung-min twice denied by the woodwork.

The Magpies intensified their gameplay in the final minutes of the game following the introduction of Andy Carrol.

Within five minutes of added time, Carroll nodded a floated ball down into the area for Wilson to try and chase but he could not quite reach it. The ball bounced around in the area with zero communication from the Tottenham defence as to who could clear.

Davies raced in and lashed at the ball, sending it into the body of Hojbjerg just behind - and that could easily have been diverted goalwards.

VAR had a review and awarded a penalty which was converted by Wilson.
