Tammy Abraham scored twice against Hammers at the Stamford Bridge

Thiago Silva’s thumping header and a late Tammy Abraham double secured all three points for Chelsea against West Ham United.

Declan Rice had the ball in the net for the Hammers from a tight angle after just seven minutes but his effort was ruled out for offside. 

Three minutes later, Thiago Silva leapt unchallenged to meet Mason Mount's corner and his powerful header gave Lukasz Fabianski no chance.

Jarrod Bowen netted for West Ham on the half-hour, but this effort was also was ruled out for a foul on Thiago Silva.

Timo Werner missed a good chance at the other end after Christian Pulisic set him up just before the break.

West Ham pushed hard n the second half but Tammy Abraham doubled Chelsea's lead on 78 minutes when he flicked Werner's scuffed shot into the net.

He then pounced on a loose ball to side-foot in the Blues' third with 10 minutes left.

That made it the eighth time Chelsea have scored at least three goals in a Premier League match this season - and they nearly had a fourth when Werner struck the crossbar with two minutes left.

Chelsea move to fifth, on 25 points, while West Ham are 10th on 21.
