Alderweireld celebrate goal

Tottenham came from behind to grab all three points in the North London derby.

Heung-Min Son canceled out Alexandre Lacazette's opener before Toby Alderweireld's late winner.

Jose Mourinho made three changes to the side that drew 0-0 with Bournemouth as Jan Vertonghen, Erik Lamela, and Steven Bergwijn dropped to the bench.

Davison Sanchez, Lucas Moura, and Heung-Min Son came in for the trio as Tottenham looked to improve their attacking displays.

Mikel Arteta after drawing 1-1 with Leicester on Tuesday benched Bukayo Saka with Nicolas Pepe back in the XI.

Lacazette put the visitors ahead in the 16-minute. Xhaka initially lost possession, which Aurier picked up, but the role was reversed when the Arsenal midfield latched onto the defender's poor first touch.

Xhaka then lightly tapped the ball into the path of Lacazette and unleashed a fantastic volley from outside the area that nearly broke the back of the net.

Three minutes later, Son leveled the scores for the home team after Kolasinac tried to find Luiz with a poor back pass. Son spotted the mistake and picked it up before driving into the area. Luiz tried to keep up but it didn’t work.

Son worked himself out to the left and strike into the far corner, with the oncoming Martinez unable to make the save.

Ben Davis hit the bar in the 31-minute after a corner was earlier cleared. Aurier picked out his fellow defender at the top of the area and he winds up to shoot and which turned out to be an incredible effort. It took a leaping save from Martinez to just direct it onto the crossbar.

Alderweireld finally gave Spurs the lead nine minutes to full time. Son delivered a corner from Martinez's save and it was Alderweireld who rose above to pack to glance a header into the far corner.

The win means, Spurs have moved above Arsenal into eighth with 52 points, three behind sixth-placed Wolverhampton Wanderers.
