Asante Kotoko ENDORSE GFA Presidential Aspirant, George Afriyie.

Kumasi Asante Kotoko Sporting Club has backed one of the Ghana Football Association presidential aspirants to become the next leader.

The Chief Executive Officer, Mr. George Amoako says the club has endorsed Mr. George Afriyie, a contender among the six candidates cleared by the Vetting Committee to contest the elections.

Speaking to Otec FM in Kumasi, Mr. Amoako said; "We [Kotoko representatives] have been to any of the manifesto launch of the various presidential hopefuls. We have heard a whole lot about their policies with their manifestos, but George Afriyie's own stands tall amongst his competitors,"

"And we don't endorse a candidate for endorsing sake. I George Amoako being the CEO of Kotoko has been given the mandate to endorse the candidature of George Afriyie,"

He added;" So, we (Asante Kotoko) have endorsed George Afriyie and that will be same in the elections having been convinced by his policies with his manifesto,"

"The club have given me the mandate to endorse George Afriyie. And for that matter, his vote is with us."

George Afriyie, who served as a Vice President under Kwesi Nyantakyi, launched his manifesto in Sunyani, last weekend.

The elections has been schedule to October 25 this year.
