Emmanuel Boam Has Dented His Image,He Should Have Be Disqualified To Contest Any Sensitive Position In NDC-NDC Communication Officer of Pru East Tells Vetting Committee
According to him, the pieces of documentary evidence which contains the various degree of crimes and atrocities being committed by Mr. Boam have completely disqualified him to hold any sensitive position in the NDC of the Pru East Constituency.

The Communication officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Pru East Constituency of the Bono East Region, Mr Williams Bumbom Baba, has stated that the aspiring parliamentary hopeful of the NDC, Mr lEmmanuel Kwaku Boam through actions and inactions has soiled his reputation.
According to him, the pieces of documentary evidence which contains the various degree of crimes and atrocities being committed by Mr. Boam have completely disqualified him to hold any sensitive position in the NDC of the Pru East Constituency.
Mr. Baba made reference to the massive destruction caused to the valuable properties of the NDC in the Pru East Constituency by Mr Boam and condemned him over the act.
The NDC communicator stated that he was highly disappointed in the members of the NDC vetting committee who have approved Mr. Boam on Wednesday April 5, 2023 to contest the Pru East parliamentary primaries, although they were equally served with the various petitions associated with the video footages of the damage caused to the properties of the by Mr.Boam and supporters.
He noted that the move by the vetting committee to confirm Mr. Boam without query or caution him to contest the NDC upcoming parliamentary primary is completely amounted to the violation of the constitution of the NDC.
"Although we have accepted the verdict of the vetting committee in regard to confirmation of Mr Boam but some of us have totally disagreed with the decision of the vetting committee because we know that the decision taken by the vetting committee violated the party constitution.
"The NDC constitution, article 8 clause 2, b and d, stated categorically that a member contesting for any position or any Ghanaian citizen who is a member of the party must belong to a branch. The constitution says that that person must be able to abide by the rules, objectives, principles, ideas and practices of the party.
"But in the case of Emmanuel Kwaku Boam, the decision of the party was that he was disqualified, because he has disregarded the party principles, loyalties, rules objectives and regulations.
"Mr Boam has destroyed the NDC party's properties and l thought even the video footages of the incident, Bono East Regional and national executives should have showed such a worry, but l did not seen them showing their concerns that this man has destroyed the party properties because we have an edifice not just a party office and such edifice being destroyed by person who wants to lead the party and has not showed any remorse. And as we speaking the case is still pending in the High Court in Wenchi.
"However the leadership of the vetting committee of the NDC didn't even asked any question or query Mr. Boam or maybe as him to apologize for whatever he and his supporter have done or did. But nobody cares," Mr Baba stated.
He called that the Bono East Regional Executives of the NDC are much aware that on the day of the Pru East constituency election, this same Emmanuel Kwaku Boam and his boys blocked the roads leading to the venue for the voting of the constituency executives.
He indicated that it took more than four to five hours for the police officers of the Ghana Police Service to be able to calm them down.
Following these misconducts of Emmanuel Kwaku Boam and his supporters, Mr Baba noted that the Pru East Constituency election was held very last in the night.
"And by 12 am, people predominantly the delegates and members of the NDC in the constituency were still casting votes and votes were still to be counted.
"However it has surprised me that this same Emmanuel Kwaku Boam today, such a person with these evil characters who is vying for a leadership position such as an MP position," NDC commutations officers," argued.
The leadership of the NDC in the constituency, especially a former national deputy organizer of the BDC being the chairman of the vetting committee has not shown any remorse to the destruction of the party properties of Mr. Boam and frown over this case and seen Mr Boam goes through the vetting successfully, this shame to our party.
"This is because l know that the party properties are in the custody of the party Organsier and that this man in person saw a video footage where the party properties were destroyed and he kept quiet. He frown over it and throw the petition against this issue out without even cautioning Emmanuel Kwaku Boam.
"So it is very worry and problem but that is a decision the chairman who was entrusted with all fairness and impartiality to lead the vetting took and we would go by it," Mr Baba raised red flag.
He asserted that "l think it is not helpful and heather decision that would propel the NDC to a next level."
"And maybe subsequently we need to sit back if indeed the NDC is a serious political party that l know to do a proper self retrospection on certain characters of individuals whom they are entrusted some sensitive roles for them to undertake," Mr Baba advised.
The Communication Officer was of the view that Pru East Constituency is unique in terms of how delegates and members of the NDC vote.
"The delegates and members of the party who have the voting power know what the party needs irrespective of their status, personality, relationship or monetary policy and don't play cards in crucial elections such as parliamentary," Mr Baba explained.
He stressed that the people want a leader with peace, developmentally oriented and magnanimous by nature and above all very mature intellect.
