Eight Out Of 25 MDCEs Renominated in Eastern Region faces stiff Opposition

A total of 25 incumbents were renominated by His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa to be confirmed by the Assembly members to steer the affairs of 25 various Municipal and District Assemblies in the Eastern Region of Ghana.

However, investigations conducted by this noble site from the grounds indicates that, out of these number, eight renominated might face rejections by the various Assemblies due to their "incompetence, divisive, bad relationship and abysmal performances", with the grassroots and some Assembly members during their first term in office as MDCEs, according to party members.

These persons are to face stiff oppositions in their own party in the ongoing confirmations in the region, adding that "We are highly disappointed in Nana Addo for failing to address our plea, and we will help make the government unpopular as the party has ignored our petitions and advised, indicated that these DCEs has made the party unpopular already in their District's with their incompetence, and abysmal performance over the past four years."

Such Municipalities and Districts are Ayensuano, Suhum, Upper West Akyem, Asuogyaman, Nsawam Adoagyiri, Birim North, Fanteakwa North plus one or two have already witnessed divisions among party faithful over their renominations, which might influence their rejections subsequently.

However, eight new nominations made by the President shall have over 90% approval from their various Assembly Members, are Fanteakwa South, Upper Manya Krobo, Yilo Krobo, Abuakwa North, Afram Plains North, Afram Plains South, Atiwa West.

But Abuakwa South must be extra vigilante over his appointment which triggered a locked up of the party office in Apedwa amidst demonstration and might not be confirmed by the Assembly members.
