Don't Depend On NHIS Initiative-EKK Foundation CEO Urges Ghanaians
THE CHIEF Executive Officer (CEO)
for a Kumasi-based  Non-governmental Organisation (NGO), EKK Charity Foundation, Dr Evans Kwofi Kwarfo has urged Ghanaians to help the vulnerable so as to relieve them from the present economic pressure.
He has also expressed worry over how patients who though have been discharged are unable to exist hospital facilities due to their inability to pay their hospital bills.
Dr kwoffie Kwafo gave the above expression at the time he donated GH¢ 208,000 to discharge 3 patients at County Hospital at Abrepo of the Bantema constituency.
Speaking on national Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS), Dr Kwarfo complained that, it is one of the baseless initiative ever, since they can't afford to provide necessary medicines and care to patients.
He said, the NHIS beneficiaries only get paracetamol, Amoxicillin and other cheap medicines which cannot cure any serious diseases.
