Actor Prince David Osei has come under fire from Ghanaian comedian Derrick Kwaku Boateng, also known as DKB, for his celebration of the cedi's appreciation.

Actor Prince David has been in a good mood since the cedi began strengthening against the dollar, months after the catastrophic currency loss sent the economy spiraling out of control.

Prince David said that he had postponed his intended demonstration while celebrating the cedi's gratitude on his Twitter page. His tweets;

“Hallelujah the Cedi is appreciating remarkably. 9.56ghc to a 1$. The economy is gradually getting back on track!! Now we need to see the effect on our daily lives, goods and services.. God bless,” he tweeted.

Prince David, however, has come under fire from DKB over the latest cedi appreciation news. The strengthening of the cedi hasn't changed the market's prices or the availability of items, so according to DKB, there's no reason to celebrate.

DKB tweeted, "A declining exchange rate without a corresponding decline in food and fuel prices is worthless.
