Ghanaian artiste, Dada KD, has claimed that new Ghanaian artistes on the scene have been producing garbage music so far because they are not putting the required levels of effort.

According to him, the young artistes are not able to meet the standard of tracks produced by the veterans because they underutilising their talent. He explained that it would be erroneous to say that the budding artistes don't have talent, as most are even more talented than the big shots.

Dada KD stated that the major difference is that the big shots know when to put in the hard work; this, he says, is something the young guns have not yet learnt.

He, however, shifted the blame off the young artistes by stating that the artistes are only victims of the pressure to release music constantly placed on them by the fans.

Dada KD made these assertions while speaking in an interview with Kumasi based radio Akoma FM.

“Now it’s no more like those days where one has to put in more effort into music by playing an intro before the song and all that. At first, you put too much energy in the music so you always feel it as an artist when you are performing. But it looks like today's musicians are in a hurry to release songs”.

The artiste advised that it is easier for artistes to die than for him to come up with something relevant all the time. He concluded that the artistes should rather focus on producing something that will transcend time so that he\she/they can continue benefiting from it throughout the lifespan.
