Popular Ghanaian actor, Dada Boat has narrated the sad relationship he has with his father.

The ace presenter revealed that he only met his father for the first-ever time 8 years ago because the man has always been absent in his life.

According to him, his father apologetically accepted the fact that he neglected him and asked for his forgiveness when they met. He further revealed that he has been raised only by his mother ever since he was young. 

Dada Boat made this known while speaking to Agyemang Prempeh TV XYZ's Legends programme. 

"I'm not saying [this] to damn my father. But meeting him in 2012 was the first time I met and interacted with him I didn't know him till, in 2012, I looked for him,"

He revealed that he met his father through a close family member and not that his father came to look for him. 

"My mother was pregnant when he left and never showed up, but I knew some of his relatives including former Supreme Court Justice, Justice Brobbey -- He's my father's uncle. I tried contacting him whilst growing up, then, eventually, he got to know who I am and he linked me up to my father. So, I saw my father in 2012, "

Dada Boat, real name Mikki Osei Berko (born 1973) is a Ghanaian-born actor. He played Master Richard in the TV series Taxi Driver and Dada Boat in Dada Boat. He has served as the assemblyman for the Ayidiki electoral area for one term and is also the executive director of Media gold Productions in Ghana.

Mikki Osei Berko worked extensively with Radio Gold, a private radio station based in Accra, which he left in July 2003 to join Happy FM. He later presented with Kessben FM. 

He is the brain behind Kente Radio, a Pan-African online radio station.
