Constituents Angry At Madina NDC MP For Gross Misconduct
THE MEMBER of Parliament (MP) for Madina Constituency in the Greater Accra Region,
Honourable Francis-Xavier Sosu, and the assemblymen in his constituency who are aligned to National Democratic Party (NDC) are locking horns in a credibility battle over the roles of the MP in the recently concluded district levels election.

Members of the NDC in the constituency have been basking in the success of their affiliated candidates who secured total victory of 15 assemblymen in the election.
They attributed this achievement to the dedicated efforts of former MP of the constituency, Honourable Alhaji Amadu Sorogho, for his substantial support and financial contributions during their campaigns, emphasizing his pivotal role in achieving this victory.
The assemblymen were angry and dissatisfied with hon. Sosu for cutting off all communication with them, and paying no attention to their campaigns.
The aggrieved assemblymen are warning their lawmaker to desist from peddling falsehood about his contributions to their successes and wishing to take credit for that.
This was in response to a report published by the general secretary of the constituency, Abdul Razak Hussein, which contained list of items purported to have been donated by the MP to support the assemblymen in their campaigns.
But according to the assemblymen, the items were delivered immediately after the declaration of the results, thereby rendering them worthless.
They argued that the document contained inaccuracies and falsehoods. Some items captured on the document were not actually allocated to the assemblymen.
Their report claimed that they were shortchanged by even the trusted high-profiled agents who were assigned the duty of distributing funds for their campaigns. Sadly, these funds, whose source is still a matter of contention, came a day after the election
Some members of the executive who were in charge of the funds are currently under investigation and are being asked to account for the undisbursed funds.
“After punishing us in such harsh manner, the last thing we expect from the MP and the constituency executive is propaganda and we would advise them to stop peddling lies.
"The MP has already succeeded in bringing shame and embarrassment to our constituency with his public vulgar utterances and filthy human rights advocacy. That’s enough, no more from him,” they disclosed.
According to them, they hold no grudges against the MP irrespective of all the ordeal he has put them and the constituency through, but would want the appropriate processes to be followed in order for Ghanaians to see the truth which will prevail over falsehood.
