Immediate Release  16/05/2023
 CONCERNED DRIVERS ASSOCIATION - CDAG*
TRANSPORT FARES CANNOT BE REDUCED
Concerned Drivers Association with membership across the country wish to emphatically state that, transport fares cannot be reduced as been said in a press release by Road transport operators.
With the current trend of fuel reduction there are calls for market prices, including transport fares, to be reduced concurrently.
The current decline in fuel prices cannot be the only indicator for the reduction of transport fares.
As we speak, taxes are on the high, road worthy has increased, insurance of vehicle increased and prices of spare parts also the high.
We are calling on our members to defile the information by the Transport Operators and continue with the already known fares.
The drivers Unions and Associations were not consulted as stakeholders before  arriving at the decrease of the fares.
We urge the general public to cooperate with us when joining our vehicles .
