Coalition Of Aggrieved  NABCo Trainees Mount Pressure On Akufo-Addo  Government To Apologize To NABCo Beneficiaries
A coalition of Nation Builders Corps (NABCo) trainees has mounted intense pressure on the government of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to, immediately render an unqualified apology to the beneficiaries for the cheap propaganda at the just ended 65th Independence Day celebration parade in the Cape Coast.
In an interview with Soireenews.com, the leadership of beneficiaries of the employment scheme stated that their attention has been drawn to pictures circulating with some young men and women wearing NABCO branded clothes to represent NABCO trainees during the 65th independence parade in Cape Coast.
"We want to put it on record that no eligible and rational NABCO trainee in this devastated working condition will have the appetite to be paraded to march under this scorchy sun to celebrate Ghana's independence.
"NABCO Trainees after three solid years on the scheme are still dependent on families and credit facilities, hence no way we will have the penchant to celebrate Ghana's liberation," the leadership of the Coalition in the persons of Nana Tachie, Frank Qunsah, and Nana Berrima Asamoah have stated.
They stated emphatically that the trainees have been made slaves in this country so under no circumstance would "we parade ourselves as trainees to march in a celebration of so-called Independence Day whiles we have worked for several months without payment in our own mother country, Ghana."
"At this juncture that we are going through inhuman treatment, for history sake, people may see the the the celebration of Independence Day as an important occasion, but realistically the celebration is needless to we NABCO trainees in this time of severe hardships.
"Our critical investigation after the program indicates that the young men and women who were in NABCO ceremonial cloth were NPP party faithful who were compelled to represent NABCO trainees.
"We want to use this medium to urge the general public, stakeholders, and the media who are sympathizing with us and adding voice to our plea for payment of arrears engulfed the scheme to disregard the propaganda-driven agenda to paint a very juicy picture about the program.
"How can personnel who have been in arrears for over four (11) months be delighted to march under the sun, to achieve what aim? If we ever wanted to participate in the march, it would have been a march against deception and demand for our salary arrears and permanent jobs," they stated.
According to them, a critical and analytical look at the pictures clearly show a well-organized group of minors paraded to match to deceive and create the phony impression that all is well with the scheme, but realistically the NABCO scheme is suffocating severally.
They do not understand why priorities are at all points misplaced when it comes to the issues of NABCO beneficiaries.
They stated that they will in no time do a proper March for the second time to drum home our grievances and Germaine's sentiments to the Akufo-Addo led government.
They maintained that the denigration and the lack of respect being portrayed by the government anytime there’s a program is very appalling.
According to them, the NABCo has become a laughing stock and the sad part is that people must usurp NABCo and be forced to march during national programs.
"During our induction, we were put under the sun for over 5 hours just to march, wondering why the over 1000 presidential staffers who equally have the same qualification are not made to march under the sun before they are paid. It is so said that NABCo trainees are now an episode of incessant public ridicule," they stressed.

They asked that "How this person who had not been paid for the past four months afforded transportation to the event center remains a mystery to us.
They stated that the innocent Ghanaians were bused and were given the NABCO clothes to represent us and this act is shameful, to say the least.
According to them, the beneficiaries of the nation builders corps demand an unqualified apology from the secretariat.
"We are by this release distancing ourselves from the said image as we are reliably informed that none of our members was present in NABCO cloth at the 65th Independence parade," they stressed
