The second episode of Lionel Messi’s move to Manchester City is soon to be back in the new year.

The Barcelona captain is free to speak to interested clubs in January before he finishes his contract with the Laliga side at the end of the current campaign.

Josep Bartomeu resigned with his board last week but the Argentine’s stance is still same with no latest development whether he will commit his future to the club.

The Telegraph report that Manchester City are considering reigniting their interest in the six-time Balon d’Or winner who filed a burofax before the start of the current season.

Although favourite Barcelona president, Victor Font has spoken his admiration to keep Messi at the club when he is voted as the next president yet it’s still uncertain whether the 33-year old would choose to stay due to the recent legal battle threatened on the talisman when he chose to leave.

Pep Guardiola seems to be looking for a way to reunite with his former player, whom he won two Champions League with. He is also yet to sign an extension with Manchester City as he enjoys the final 12 months of his contract at the Etihad. Pep's delay has speculated rumours that either the City boss would join Messi at Barca or the World Best player would opt for City.

The Blaugranas are still struggling under Ronald Koeman and restructuring is likely to occur in the coming months either in the coaching department or playing section with Messi weighing his options.
