Spurs striker, Son Heung-Min’s red card received for the tackle on Andre Gomez has been overturned.

Gomez suffered from a fractured dislocation of the right ankle leading to his exit from the game at the Goodison Park.

Tottenham appealed on the decision by referee Martin Atkinson and their plea was upheld by a Football Association Independent Regulatory Commission as wrongful dismissal meaning, Son will be available for selection against Sheffield United next week.

“Heung-min Son will be available for Tottenham Hotspur FC’s next three domestic fixtures after an independent Regulatory Commission upheld a claim of wrongful dismissal,” an FA spokesperson tweeted on Tuesday.

The game ended 1-1 after a late equalizer by Cenk Tosun in the 90+7.

Gomez was discharged from hospital on Tuesday, a day after the surgery.
