Choose Running Mate That Can Guarantee Unity And Sustenance Of NDC Going Beyond 2028-Former Bawku Central NDC Chairman Advises Mahama

The former Bawku Central Constituency of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr Mohammed Ndego Awindago, has stated that it is his prayer that the flagbearer of the NDC former President John Dramani Mahama chooses his running made that can guarantee unity and sustenance of NDC going beyond 2028.

According to him, the continuation of NDC as a vibrant political party should be the preoccupation of the mind of John Mahama.

He stressed that "If former President John Dramani Mahama  fails in that,then all his so called political legacy shall be thrown in to thrash of bad history.So,John Mahama should put his ego aside and do justice in NDC.

He noted that the "competence must always come first before loyalty and when competence I'd around, loyalty is inevitable and unnegotiable."

He asked that "why former President Dramani Mahama would have to prefer re-choosing his former running Prof.Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang as his running mate for the 2024 general elections."

In the news items by Mr Awindago captured by Soireenews.com, he writes that "First and foremost,John Mahama is the kind of leader who wants to have his egotistical self immolatory attitudes and so ,would want to have a very submissive person as his vice.

He wants a vice who would not challenge his authority even if his authority doesn't agree with the foundation principles of NDC and the progress of NDC and Ghana as a whole.

Prof. Nana Jane is the one who befits that job and John may be reluctantly or unreluctantly  want Jane to partner him again for the 2024 elections.

However,John may change Jane Nana  reluctantly under pressure from his own party.Let us see how all that would play out.

There are some names that are propping up as those that can neutralize the division within NDC on one hand and another hand  give assurance that NDC is going back to it roots and so would need those who saw it all during the PNDC days and finally to the period from 1993 to 2000 NDC eras.

So names like Leslie Tamakloe, Goosie Tano, Dr Ekow Spio Gabrah and their likes.However,I would wonder if John Mahama would like such individuals to be his vice because these crops of personalities are the no nonsense type.

They are the no nonsense type because they won't allow John Mahama to side step the true values of NDC and they are most likely to resist John Mahama.

They are simply not  the yes sir,yes sir types of personalities when things go wrong. 

This brings me to the moral national anthem  John Mahama and his boys played and playing to NDC and Ghanaians and the anthem was/is:LOYALTY BEFORE COMPETENCE.This was the time John Mahama was the President.

That means,nobody was to question their competence.

Just be loyal to them and that was all irrespective of their incompence.

 To those of us who believed  in competence before loyality our names were written in the black book of John Mahama NDC government and so we were made powerless and useless despite that we held positions in the party.

We were also labelled as Pro -Rawlings and think Revolutionally.

I still wonder if John Mahama can work with the likes of Spio, Goosie and co because they would not also to the nonsense called LOYALTY BEFORE COMPETENCE was/is being preached by John Mahama and his boys.

In light of this is most unlikely that John Mahama would choose any of them to be his vice.In case,it happened,either John Mahama had changed to do right by reverting to the true teaching of NDC and so there is trust between him and them.

There is also a possibility that John Mahama can leave all I discussed here as the likely and unlikely candidates to partner him and go choose somebody who would bootlick him and would not offer any corrections to John Mahama for the good of John Mahama, NDC and Ghana.

Let us pray that John Mahama chooses his running made that can guarantee unity and sustenance of NDC going beyond 2028.

The continuation of NDC as a vibrant political party should be the preoccupation of the mind of John Mahama.

If he fails in that,then all his so called political legacy shall be thrown in to thrash of bad history.So,John Mahama should put his ego aside and do justice in NDC.
