Bono Regional Chairperson for Conference of Heads of Assisted Secondary School (CHASS), Rev. Sister Benedicta Ozukwe has said the SHS are ready to commence effective teaching as schools reopen on Thursday

The Ghana Education Service postponed the reopening of first-year Senior High School students from March 12, 2021, to Thursday, March 18.

In a press release signed by the Deputy Director-General, the Service said the action is to give students who have had issues with self-placement time to complete the process.

Also, others who have not completed their school’s admission process have been encouraged to use the extension to complete the process.

The Service added that the rescheduling will also help parents have adequate time to prepare their kids for school as well as give schools additional time needed to prepare to welcome them.

But speaking with the Bono Regional Chairperson for Conference of Heads of Assisted Secondary School CHASS, Rev. Sister Benedicta Ozukwe on today, she said even though not all the schools have 100% enrolment, she believes academic will be effective when they commence teaching on Thursday.

Talking about money and Food to manage the school, ‘‘the government has assured them,’’ she said.

She, therefore, advised the form 1 students to take their studies seriously since the government is doing everything possible to reduce their burden. She urged the parents to provide their wards with their needs even though the government is sponsoring their fees
