Change our DCE - Concerned NPP Techiman North Youth

 The Concerned Youth Group from the Techiman North Constituency in the Bono East Region is calling on His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to choose a new District Chief Executive (DCE) for them.

According to the concern Youth, the acting District Chief Executive, Honourable Peter Mensah Kumbeso's actions during his first tenure of office has declined the progress of the district in terms of development and also contributed to the defeat of the New Patriotic Party's (NPP)in both the Presidential and Parliamentary elections at Techiman North during the 2020 general elections.

Addressing the media in a press conference, the convener of the concerned youth, who doubles as the NPP Polling Station Secretary at Mesidan, Nana Kwame Poku accused Honourable Peter Mensah of distancing himself from the party's campaign before the 2020 elections.

According to him, streetlights at Tuobodom, the District's capital went off three months to the elections but Honourable Peter turned a blind eye to that development.

"He repaired the street lights just two days after we lost the elections" and this according to Nana Poku is a deliberate act by the DCE to sabotage the party during the 2020 elections.

He also accused the acting DCE of not consulting party executives when it comes to the appointments of government officials in the district.

The concerned Youth have expressed that Honourable Peter Mensah does party faithful especially the Youth and they no longer require his services as their DCE.
