Change KIA to JJ Rawlings International Airport - Sonnie Badu to Akufo Addo
Gospel artiste, Sonnie Badu, says it would be nice to hear the name of the later former president more often, asks President Akufo Addo to change the Kotoka International Airport to JJ Rawlings international airport

Sonnie Badu has asked that the Kotoka International Airport should be renamed "JJ Rawlings International Airport".
The Gospel musician and preacher stated that it would be the least that Ghana could do for the late icon who led the country from 1981 to 2001 and also for a brief period in 1979.
He made his plea directly to the president of Ghana, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, on his Instagram page.
"JJ do something before you die” that was the chants!!! You indeed did all you needed to you .... You will always be a role model to some of us. Thank you for all you did for Ghana. Your burial is so beautiful it makes some of us want to work even harder and make the nation proud ......"

Jerry John a Rawlings passed away on November 12, 2020, at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital after a short illness, was laid to rest on Wednesday, 27th January 2021.
He died at 73, leaving behind his wife, Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings and his 4 children.
